Read More The event began with a general introductory session where we introduced ourselves and explained our backgrounds and courses. We then divided the students into two groups. Each group participated in a morning mentorship session, discussing topics ranging from academics to general life advice. Many students had questions about university courses, which we answered to the best of our abilities.
In the afternoon, we swapped the groups to provide them with diverse perspectives and ideas. The day concluded with two concurrent sessions: one where interested students explored projects showcased by one of our event partners, and another where students engaged in one-on-one mentoring sessions.

Read More The second edition of RIDE (Rural Initiative for Digital Empowerment) was hosted at CVM Higher Secondary School, Vandazhi, Palakkad. This initiative promotes digital empowerment in rural areas and featured workshops in IoT and Robotics, C-Programming, and UI-UX Design.
The IoT and Robotics workshop, mentored by Anoushka and Joseph Thomas, covered the basics of IoT, including sensors, actuators, Arduino programming, and Raspberry Pi. Students worked on projects like a chatbot and a line follower robot, and conducted basic experiments using the Arduino IDE.
The UI-UX Design workshop, led by Godwin Kunjumon and Ajay Krishna, introduced students to Figma and covered the elements of user-centered design. Students created their own UI-UX projects using the tool.
The C-Programming workshop, mentored by Isac John and Bhavana R. Nair, focused on basic programming concepts, keywords, and syntax. Students engaged in hands-on programming exercises to reinforce their learning.
Engaging More Women - Jomo Kenyatta university of Agriculture and Technology

The event brought forth several panelists and speakers all who were distinguished in their fields. The event started a Chaltu as the Keynote speaker. A panel discussion then followed which comprised a well balanced panelists. The panel discussion was aimed at getting an overview of the panellist's career and life path. Also personal recommendations on how to engage more women into AI and 4IR technologies. A breakout session was conducted after lunch and networking by Mary Dusabe who advised us on how to transition from Education to Career. The workshop sessions were conducted in which the the audience had a hands-on introduction to blockchain app development and AI hosted by Steve and Abdul respectively.
