IEEE Taco Tuesday was a networking event that involved first-year students, seniors, faculty, and industry board members. The intent was to help first-year students find their network and create a sense of belonging. This was an opportunity for them to talk to faculty, senior students, and industry members and to find mentors to help with their academic and career path later on.
The session commenced with a brief exploration of soft skills, elucidating their pivotal role in professional environments. Emphasis was placed on key soft skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and emotional intelligence.
A thorough discussion ensued regarding various soft skill training programs, highlighting their transformative impact on individual and organizational efficacy. Additionally, the session delved into the criticality of proficient team building strategies in realizing organizational objectives, accompanied by a range of illustrative team-building activities.
The speaker elucidated specific soft skills, including effective communication, leadership development, emotional intelligence cultivation, problem-solving techniques, time management proficiency, and productivity enhancement methods.
This event provided an excellent opportunity to enter the world of Java programming and learn about this widely used language. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn basic Java concepts, syntax, structure and more. Participants acquired a solid foundation in Java that will allow them to get started in this type of language. The workshop focused on developing technical skills in Java as well as improving soft skills through group activities and presentations. Participants had the opportunity to work on hands-on projects, solve programming challenges, and receive constructive feedback.
The Eduverse Extravaganza, a two-day event by IEEE Education Society, featured a diverse range of activities promoting educational excellence and innovation. Day one commenced with an inaugural ceremony led by Dr. S. Sankari and Ms. Dharshini, followed by engaging competitions like CodeBlitz and WebSprint. Insightful speaker sessions, including one by Ramalatha Marimuthu, enriched attendees with valuable knowledge. Day two continued with ProInsight sessions led by industry experts, networking opportunities via NetworkingNexus, and project showcases in ProjectPeak. The event concluded with a Valedictory session, led by Dr. Brindha and Mr. Somasundaraman giving a report on the event, celebrating the accomplishments and leaving participants inspired for future endeavors followed by a short vote of thanks by Ms. Srinidhi.
The "Mentor Connect" program lasts for seven days. It helped students learn about different things like AI, Data Science, starting a business, and going to college for more education or doing research. Experts teach students in an interactive ways. They learn about AI's secrets and how to start their own businesses. They also get tips for further studies or research. The program is a place for students to make new colleagues and meet professionals. At the end of the program, there's a special event to celebrate everyone's hard work and give awards to those who did the best. "Mentor Connect" is a supportive place for students to learn and grow, giving them the confidence to reach for their dreams.
The R programming language workshop, held at VSSUT Burla's E-Learning center, aimed to impart valuable knowledge and practical skills in weather forecasting and load parameter analysis. Prof. Monalisha Pattnaik, HoD of the Department of Statistics at Sambalpur University, inaugurated the event and delivered an insightful talk. The event was held at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) H-12 Campus, Islamabad, Pakistan on 4th April 2024. The event was of three hours and three speakers delivered the talks which were based on IEEE and its benefits for students, electrical engineering opportunities and related technologies for betterment of the community. A total of 80 participants attended the seminar.
The SPAX-sponsored workshop, led by Dr. Kumudhini Ravindra, successfully fostered innovation and creativity among participants. Through systematic approaches and practical exercises, attendees gained valuable problem-solving techniques and learned to identify opportunities for innovation. The much-anticipated FIKRA'23 - Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit kicked off with an impressive inaugural ceremony graced by the esteemed Ms. Rajalakshmi Srinivasan, Director of Product Management at Zoho Corporation, and Mr. Vijayakeerthi Jayakumar, Founder & CEO of DataDNA. The ceremony was an illustrious affair, witnessing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mr. Vijayakeerthi and our Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. By aligning activities with the spirit of love and peace, the IEEE SB CE Kidangoor organised Sayonee 2.O during the Valentine’s Week of 2024.Emphasizing on Valentine’s Day, the event shimmered as a symphony of love and unity, igniting sparks among the students. We kicked off with engaging challenges including Idea-Pitching, UI/UX designing, workshop and talk sessions. In the dynamic realm of cybersecurity, the CTF Workshop and Cybersecurity Talk Session immersed students in hands-on and real-world cyber scenarios. Mr. Vishnu K orchestrated the sessions with expertise, unveiling the intricacies of the digital frontier. Tech Knots , a powerful talk session emphasized IEEE's role in professional growth through personal stories showcasing its transformative impact on careers. Mr. Anandhu Prasad, the former Chairperson of our Student Branch effectively handled the session. With overwhelming support, SAYONNE 2.O created a vibrant tapestry of unity and enthusiasm among the students.
E2logic is a dynamic platform that brings together students from across India to showcase their talents, skills, and innovative ideas in various competitions and presentations. Here's a detailed description of the event and the participation statistics:
Project Competition: A total of 36 groups have registered for the Project Competition.
Win To Buzz: There are 61 groups participating in Win To Buzz.
Poster Presentation: 34 groups have registered for the Poster Presentation category.
Programming Mania: The Programming Mania competition has attracted participation from 52 groups.
Paper Presentation: 18 groups are participating in the Paper Presentation category.
Overall, a total of 480 students have registered and participated in the E2logic event from different parts of India. Notably, students from Bidar (Karnataka state), Latur, and various regions from Maharashtra state have actively contributed to the event.
In company with the IEEE Univalle branch, we seek to create a space where 11th grade students from schools in the city of Montería learn about the enormous work that the IEEE affinity group WIE carries out and the importance of women in the area of STEM as well as providing a playful and enriching space for their personal development.

MIE is a university-industry linkage program founded and organized by the IEEE Egypt Section, specifically the YP affinity group. This is the 17th version of the program, which aims to fill the gap between the academic and industrial communities and startups.
It was founded in 2006, where students from all over the Egyptian engineering universities compete with their peers with their graduation projects. The target is to bring the best out of them so they are able and ready to convert their graduation projects into their startups by connecting them with the business approaches besides the technical ones.
The 17th edition of our "Made in Egypt" (MIE) program, established in 2006, continues its mission to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Organized by the IEEE Egypt Section's YP affinity group, this year's event takes place at Heliopolis University on March 2nd 2024.
A Mental Health Awareness Event for University Students was held on 7/3/24 at The Nairobi Arboretum (1:00PM-6:00PM EAT). Students (27) from Electrical Engineering, Geospatial Information Systems, Mechatronics, Telecommunication, and Information Technology participated. Bonding activities fostered connection, followed by a speaker session on rising student suicide cases and coping mechanisms. The session addressed risk factors, recognizing distress, and managing stress/anxiety. Interactive discussions created a safe space for sharing experiences. The event successfully raised awareness and equipped students with mental well-being tools
The IEEE NSU Student Branch organized SPAC-23, a prestigious event in collaboration with the IEEE Bangladesh Section and IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh. Hosted on Zoom, comprised of 8 segments. Dr. Javed Bari opened, commending the branch's success. Dr. M. Tanseer Ali shared professional development insights. Engr. Rafat Bin Ali navigated industry paths and essential skills. Sharina Tofazzal discussed career milestones and networking strategies. Mr. Masum Parvez highlighted EnergyPac's plans and challenges. Mr Redwan Ferdous shared industrial robotics' potential and applications. Dr. Celia Shahnaz explored WIE programs. Dr John McDonald delved into sustainable energy and Smart Grid. Mr Rahat Yasir unveiled data and AI's influence. Speakers received appreciation from Mr. Saif Ahmed and Dr. Lamia Iftekhar. At the concluding ceremony were Dr. Moshiul Hoque and Dr. Shaikh Anwarul Fattah. SPAC-23 nurtured students' collaboration in academia and industry for the future.
IEEE R8 MESYP is a cross-sectional IEEE congress that brings engineering students and young professionals together to provide technical enrichment and cultural exchange. The IEEE Young Professionals Jordan AG organized MESYP which was held in Amman, Jordan on 23-24 February 2024 to gather more than 250 participants from the Middle East and North Africa and all over the world for a professional and cultural new experience.
The congress elevates the engineering prowess of young professionals and students from the MENA Region. Through keynote speeches, technical sessions, workshops, and entertainment, we focus on engineering and technology, with a special emphasis on astronomy.
The event was co-organized between CASS, Photonics and the Computer Society of IEEE KU. The event involved keynote sessions from distinguished professionals in the industry i.e. in Circuits and Systems and Photonics. The society's achievements were acknowledged together with the awarding of notable volunteers in the society. During the event, three societies were launched: IEEE APS, Computer Society, IES and Sensors Council. The section leadership in attendance acknowledged and awarded the different societies that were having an impactful influence on the general community. The incoming chairs and their respective societies shared their plans for the coming year and what they intended to achieve.
Walk The Talk event aims to make the students aware of the multitude of skill sets, powerful mind development, a conducive learning environment, and networking opportunities and provides a chance to grow globally. Through this event, members can connect with people worldwide, share and exchange knowledge, work as a team, and strengthen networks. It also focuses on women's empowerment to help women advance in their careers and encourage IEEE Members in their development goals. IEEE Walk the Talk believes in creating impact and building passion and enthusiasm about the progress and visibility of IEEE WIE. It contributes towards marking a change, boosting self-confidence and proving that women should be independent to reach their goals even in the hardest fields.

Symposium on Electrical Drives, Robotics, Control and Computing was conducted on behalf of IEEE IAS SBC Palakkad under IEEE SB GEC Palakkad and IEEE Kerala Section. On the first day inaugural session, the chief guest was Dr. Vinod Khadkikar, IEEE Fellow and Professor in the EECS Department at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. After the inaugural session a distinguished lecturer program on the topic ELECTRIC VEHICLE TO VEHICLE CHARGING. This session was handled by Prof. Vinod Khadkikar. And conducted a research talk session on the Power Converters For EVs, handled by Dr. Biju K, Secretary, IEEE Kerala Section. After that conducted another research talk session on System Engineering in Electric Vehicles, handled by Mr. Prasanth Pathiyil, Bosch Global Software Technologies. On the second day as a part of a symposium on Electrical Drives, Robotics, Control and Computing a paper presentation was conducted.
Exordium 3.0, the flagship event of IEEE SB GECBH, commenced on 3rd November, 2023, with the Sustainable Development Quiz exploring environmental, social, & economic sustainability. Immersive workshops on Solidworks & Ansys, and Matlab & KiCad in collaboration with Formula Barton Racing and ASME GECBH delved into computer-aided design, programming and circuit design, conducted simultaneously on 18-19 November.

Academic vigor continued with Best Engineer 9.0 for first-year students, comprising an Aptitude Test, Group Discussion, & HR Interview. Finally, Project VRIDDHI - Phase III was conducted as an orientation for school students to the STEM field, and distribution of STEM kits.

The IEEE Student Branch organized a session on Dec 19, 2023, focusing on skill enhancement and employee development. Mr. Malik Muhammad Ali from Nayatel was the distinguished speaker. The event in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department attracted 40-50 attendees eager to explore the intricacies of the telecommunication industry. The session started with an engaging introduction, creating a connection between Mr. Ali and the audience. He covered the fundamentals of telecommunication, introducing Nayatel's role. The discussion delved into optic fibre, a groundbreaking technology revolutionizing communication networks. FTTH and FTTT concepts were explored, providing insights into their crucial role in establishing high-speed communication infrastructure. Nayatel's journey, aligning purpose with operations, was a focal point, inspiring aspiring engineers. Value Added Services (VAS) and the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) showcased Nayatel's commitment to innovation.
The event started with “How to Write an Effective Resume” by Dr. Parameshchari B D. In this session, the speaker discussed some of the best practices for preparing an effective resume and emphasized including information about education, skills, professional accomplishments, awards and certifications. The second session started with “Workplace Etiquette” by Mr.Harsha Prasad Sahu. In this session the speaker discussed how to interact with one another and behave in our workplace, and also highlighted setting a professional tone as crucial to building new relationships and ensuring a positive, successful experience in the workplace; The third session started with “Opportunities in Higher education” by Miss. Shruti Swamy. In this session, the speaker highlighted various opportunities in higher education. The fourth session started with “Personality Development” by Mr. Moses Benjamin. The speaker discussed identifying opportunities and exploring values, personality interests and skills.

KAGADA 2023 officially commenced after the guests addressed the crowd, featuring three tracks: Paper, Project, and Poster. Paper Presentation was online whereas Project was offline and Poster was Hybrid.
The research paper submissions covered various topics and the conference hosted numerous projects of both IT and core domains as well. Participants also presented their innovative ideas through a technical poster.
Winners and Runners were announced in the closing ceremony, receiving cash prizes and certificates.
As part of KAGADA, IEEE UVCE organized "Ottige Kaliyona", inviting government school kids to learn technical concepts. Additionally, 1st-year ECE students conducted 'Food for Cause,' setting up a food stall with profits donated to a Non-Profitable Organization.
A one-day event conducted on 8th November, 2023 under The student branch of IEEE UETP. The event had an interactive session to build a strong bond among all the IEEE members, have their mutual interaction and brief all the new members about the perks and benefits they would get by their IEEE membership. Along with that, we had a Speaker who delivered an awareness speech on the current innovations in the world such as AI, 3D Printing & 3D designing. It turned out to be a successful event.

The IEEE SB Web Page Launch and IEEE Conciencia’23 workshop was conducted on 16th November 2023 with the approval of the branch counselor, Dr Sumit Datta. The event started at 9.00 am with the opening remarks of Dr. Sumit Datta (IEEE SB Counselor, DUK), who opened with a warm greeting to everyone in the hall. The inauguration ceremony began with the launch of the IEEE SB webpage by Prof. (Dr.) A Mujeeb, Registrar, Digital University Kerala. This was followed by two talks about professional society and its uses & an introduction to IEEE by Prof. (Dr.) Asharaf S, Dean Development, HR, and Dean Academic, Prof. (Dr.) Alex P James, Digital University Kerala. This workshop commenced with two speakers, Dr Dhanukumar Pattanashetti, Senior IEEE Client Services Manager at the IEEE India Operations Center, Bengaluru & Mr Salih Yoosaf, secretary for the MD Committee in the IEEE Kerala Section and MD Chair for the IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter.
Ignite Engineering Forum featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking sessions. The vent hosted three workshops on design thinking, personal branding, and financial literacy. The design thinking workshop taught the participants how to apply the human-centered approach to problem-solving and innovation. The personal branding workshop helped the participants to identify and communicate their unique value proposition and professional identity. The financial literacy workshop educated the participants on the basics of financial management and planning, such as budgeting, saving, investing, and borrowing. The workshops were facilitated by experienced trainers and mentors from various fields and sectors. The workshops were interactive, engaging, and fun, and the participants learned valuable skills and knowledge that they could apply to their personal and professional lives.
Girls in STEM Synergy: Empowering Future Innovators was held on November 3, 2023 at Kenyatta University in Nairobi. The event focused on the theme of climate change and girls in STEM being innovators. The summit opened with a keynote speech by Dr. Eng. Damaris Oyaro, who spoke on: Empowering Women in Engineering to Drive Sustainable Change. The speech was followed by a presentation from American Tower Corporation(ATC Kenya) titled: Resilience in the face of Climate Change. The presentation was done by Eng. Cate Nduvi.
The presentations were followed by a panel discussion session where the speakers answered questions and shared insights on the future of sustainable engineering. They also shared their challenges and successes as women in engineering. The first day concluded with a round table discussion in the evening, where the speakers and the participants engaged in an interactive dialogue on the role and impact of women engineers in leadership as well as in advancing the education sector.

Attendees had the unique opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with these experts during Q&A sessions. The event featured informative talk sessions on AI, DevOps, and Free/Open Source Software. Additionally, there was a startup showcase highlighting innovative products, a competitive coding competition, where participants tested their skills and vie for attention and a comprehensive mentorship program. But that's not all – leading up to the main event, we hosted Git/Github training workshops followed by a dynamic pre-event mini-hackathon where teams will be challenged to conceive innovative product ideas, subsequently transforming these projects into open-source initiatives available to the public domain, thus promoting collaborative innovation and the principles of Free/Open Source Software.
The purpose of the talk is so that students know certain important keys to achieving the success that each one has proposed for their life so that they can improve both professionally and personally, and if they want to undertake, these keys are the basis for it. The keys are Self-awareness, learning about effective communication, empathy, problem-solving with critical thinking and creative thinking, decision-making, teamwork, and a growth mindset.
MoraForesight 1.0, an innovative project organized by the IEEE Student Branch of the University of Moratuwa, embodies innovation and empowerment. This initiative has sharpened the skills of 80 aspiring students in the fields of Programming, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship, offering them access to exclusive educational resources and valuable mentoring opportunities. The project took the form of a three-day camp, featuring sessions led by industry professionals in their respective fields. The primary objective is to nurture creativity and encourage young minds to explore their interests further. MoraForesight 1.0 is designed to help students acquire diverse skills and become successful professionals. MoraForesight 1.0 took place on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of August 2023. This remarkable project has set the stage for a brighter and more innovative future in the fields of Programming, Robotics, and Entrepreneurship.

The IEEE R8 Entrepreneurship Week on October 27, 2023, was a comprehensive program that delved into the dynamic fields of HealthTech and MedTech. The event kicked off with registration and a meet-and-greet session at 8;00 am. Emmanuel Musundi delivered opening remarks, setting the stage for a day of insightful keynotes and discussions. Keynote speakers included Dr Raymond Sianyo, who explored the intersection of HealthTech and MedTech; Michael Muthomi, who discussed human-centred design in healthcare technology; Dr Aysha Edwards, who focused on strategic model development; Allan Koech, who highlighted product development; and Immanuel Momanyi, who delved into legal, funding, and investment considerations. The event took place between October 16 and 19, 2023, at the School of Engineering of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) and aims to promote integration between different technological areas, both from UFF and other educational institutions, and discuss the demands and solutions for Brazil’s current problems. It offers lectures, workshops, and roundtable discussions on various topics, such as innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, accessibility, and education, among others. IEEE NECN Student Branch, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Narayana Engineering College, Nellore, organized a workshop on Cyber Security and Blockchain. This event took place on the 25th and 26th of September 2023. It was intended for B.Tech 2nd and 3rd year CSE students. The workshop featured Mr. M. Sai Prasanth, a Blockchain Developer at Tech Mahindra, as the resource person. The event commenced with an opening address by Dr. C. Rajendra, the Head of the CSE Department, who provided a brief introduction of the resource person. He emphasized the importance of cyber security and the career opportunities it offers for software engineers. The event further underscored the significance of cyber security in everyday life, equipping students with knowledge about cyber-attacks and how to mitigate security risks.
In preparation for the event, a pre-event workshop was conducted online. The workshop, led by Shwetha M, aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in hackathons. It provided valuable insights, tips, and strategies, ensuring that all participants were well-prepared for the upcoming hackathon.

The hackathon started at 9:00 AM in the morning and it ended at 6:00 PM in the evening with the announcement of the winners. Throughout the event, the mentors and judges visited each team and got regular updates from them. The final judgement was based on the presentation done by each team in front of the judges. The theme for the hackathon was Open Source.
Tech Talk on Stability Of Dynamical Systems is the event that was held on 6th July 2023 at the Library Hall of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. The event had a participation of 45+ attendees which included IEEE Volunteers, Officers, Non-IEEE Member Students, alumni and faculty members. The event comprised a Talk on the Stability and Control of dynamic systems followed by an interactive Q&A session and an interesting gathering with tea and snacks at the end where students interacted with the speaker on a range of topics.
The IEEE EMBS, the CAS team and other speakers gave the high school students were given insightful talks from the speakers: from the lightning talks to inspire interest in STEM and Medicine, providing guidance and advice about their academic and career choices in STEM through sharing their own experiences and insights to help students make informed decisions to allowing the students connect and network with like-minded individuals. The students were further given fulfillment in the embedded systems workshop where they got to experience how in simple terms the embedded systems are part of the everyday life. This enabled inspiration of problem solving aspect where the students were shown how coding and programming where essential skills in this field. Furthermore, they were shown how the gap between theory and practice is bridged as they got to see the real-world relevance of the academic studies.

HackFiesta - a 6 hour hackathon conducted by IEEE SB LBSITW as part of Prayaag 3.0, the annual tech fest of LBS Institute of Technology for Women.

Build A Bridge between Academia and Industry was a one-day event and co-organized with the 2nd Hokkaido Young Professionals Workshop. This event conducted a bridge between industry and academia and also facilitated ideas exchanges between students and engineers. The event consisted of three different sessions. First, two experienced industry professionals Mr. Takefumi Yamada (Toyota Industries Corporation) and Mr. Ryoma Sato (Cellid Inc) introduced their career experiences, and companies and shared their research ideas. And they also introduced to students how to find a job, and how to train their skills to fit into the industry. Second, three students from Muroran SB presented their research topics. Third, three academics introduced their research works.

The IEEERuntime Hackathon at New Horizon College of Engineering was a remarkable event that brought together 250 participants, forming 53 teams, all with a shared passion for innovation and problem-solving. The hackathon, held continuously for 24 hours, provided a platform for aspiring developers and innovators to showcase their skills, creativity, and dedication to solving real-world problems.
The hackathon offered participants a wide range of themes to choose from, including Healthcare, Education, Finance, Environment, Agriculture, Transportation, Entertainment, and Open Innovation. Teams were encouraged to develop innovative solutions related to their chosen theme. The IEEE Hackathon at New Horizon College of Engineering was a resounding success. It provided a platform for students to collaborate, innovate, and showcase their skills in a competitive yet friendly environment. The event's adherence to rules and guidelines ensured fairness and transparency throughout.
Designathon is an event focused on introducing Product design and UI/UX Design to participants. Participants were split into teams and were given a problem statement, which they tried to solve within 24 hours using wireframing, designing and prototyping in Figma. The event also comprised of a competition in which the top 2 teams with the best designs won prizes.
IEEE CS SYP Global Congress, the signature event of the IEEE Computer Society was a 3-day congress to expose the young and enthusiastic IEEE Volunteers in the section to a broader scope of volunteering, occupations, academe, and culture. The theme of this year’s congress was “Rebuild for resilience”, implying that this unprecedented time calls for collective effort in rebuilding our beloved nation. As Sri Lankans, resilience has always been our strong suit. The IEEE SL SYW Congress was held as an effort to rebuild Sri Lanka's tech arena and rejuvenate after dark times to face future challenges strongly.
Since promoting the IEEE CS is one of the main intentions of the IEEE CS SYP Global Congress, many sessions which solely focused on the CS and CSSL were included in the program lineup. Womansera'23 is a two-day event that was a huge success, with a wide variety of activities including Technical, Non-Technical and online submission events. The event is catered along with transportation facilities.
The event is designed in such a way that it fosters everyone's intellect, creativity, and teamwork. On September 4th, we held an inaugural function at 9.00 AM. A number of events were held throughout the day, including the inaugural, paper presentation, idea pitch, technical pictionary, philanthropists presentations, and a treasure hunt to cap off the day. The following day's events included a toastmaster session, elocution, a coding competition, a quiz, a designing contest, a Photography contest and a valedictory.

Synergia'23 – An Invasion towards Personal and Career Development, a two-day National Level Colossal Convention organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter at Sri Sairam Engineering College sponsored by IEEE SPAx on 24th and 25th August 2023. The event's motto is Educate, Ignite, and Empower. Synergia'23 will empower young students, guiding them to become a person enriched with the skill of shaping their careers. The theme of Synergia’23 ideation was based upon waste management under the categories of E-Waste, Solid waste, and Bio-medical waste. We got an immense response of 105 teams registering for our event, out of which 40 teams were selected. Synergia’23 was an incredible opportunity to take a step towards personal and career excellence.

The Online Communication and Collaboration Tools event for STEM students, originally scheduled for 25th August 2023, was successfully conducted on 11th August 2023. The event aimed to introduce students to various digital tools that enhance productivity and creativity in their academic pursuits. The event featured a prominent speaker, who shared insights on the significance of utilizing online communication and collaboration tools in STEM education. They emphasized the need to adapt to technology-driven environments and the benefits of these tools in fostering productivity and creativity. The speaker highlighted the importance of tools like IEEE Collabratec, emphasizing how they enable students to connect with peers, professionals, and mentors. The speaker showcased real-world examples of successful collaborations that led to innovative projects. Despite the rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances, the event received an overwhelming response from students.

The event started with an opening ceremony where introductions were made and the event's purpose was highlighted. IEEE was introduced, emphasizing its perseverance and motivation. There were three speakers who talked about overcoming challenges with their own personal stories, what they did to pass in high school and their high school journeys. A panel discussion explored STEM opportunities and encouraged girls' participation in engineering. Lunch allowed volunteers and students to network. Motivational talks on themes like perseverance, resisting peer pressure and discipline followed, which empowered the attendees. The event ended with the distribution of books and pens, breakout discussions in various classes on choosing careers, passing exams, discouraging peer pressure, STEM benefits, personal growth, mentorship, a final vote of thanks, and a photo session.
"EVenture" aims to catalyze the transition to sustainable transportation by providing a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and networking in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. Our objective is to enlighten professionals, students, and enthusiasts about EVs' latest trends, technologies, and advancements. By fostering dialogue among experts, facilitating hands-on experiences, and showcasing cutting-edge prototypes, we seek to inspire a collective drive toward a greener, electrified future.
The event included training spaces through technical conferences and also integration spaces through recreational activities. In the morning there was a workshop on soft skills, a conference focused on Robotics and another talk on Electronic Security for attendees who did not belong to the boards of directors of the branches. On the other hand, for the board members, there was training on IEEE benefits and processes given by members of the SAC Team. In the afternoon a last conference on Deep learning was dictated by an engineer from CIAT (International Center for Tropical Agriculture) and the event was closed with a scavenger hunt in teams to encourage integration between branches and teamwork.
The event took place successfully on 6th August 2023 from 8 AM to 4 PM. It was an awesome opportunity to learn for both the students being mentored and the IEEE volunteers. The event included a crowd mentorship where students were all in one hall being mentored about their career choices, and a session where students were mentored in separate rooms depending on their different career interests. There was also a one-on-one session where students we allowed to talk to the mentors(IEEE Volunteers) about the individual questions they had, the three sessions taking place at different times, within the same school.

Due to some unexpected changes due to permissions from the institution that lent the space, the event had to modify its schedule, however, the experience was hardly noticed by those attending the event, who enjoyed each talk to the fullest. Each of these esteemed speakers brought a unique perspective and valuable insights to the conference attendees. Uriel shared his entrepreneurial experiences, offering invaluable lessons and strategies for establishing and expanding successful businesses. His engaging talks and inspiring journey motivated aspiring entrepreneurs to fearlessly pursue their own ventures. Martín, with his background in STEM education, delivered captivating presentations on the latest advancements and cutting-edge research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The WIE Day 2023 at Nairobi Arboretum celebrated Women in Engineering, promoting empowerment and mental health awareness. Featuring PMWC speakers and Sheila Kimutai, it encouraged gender equality and self-care. Participants enjoyed pizza, drinks, and team-building games, fostering connections and discussions on IEEE's benefits. A group of IEEE Young Professionals & Impact Creators gathered on July 22, 2023 (09:00 AM – 5:00 PM IST) to create awareness on Professional Communication by forming a collaborative platform at “Quarter Tech Talk Table 10.0 (QT3)” in the form of a Panel Discussion on the topic - “Professional Communication: Nurturing oneself for community building”. This was conducted in collaboration with the Students Professional Activities Committee (SPAx, IEEE Students), Universal Access to Technology (IEEE SSIT), IEEE Industry Committee & IEEE Collabratec hosted at Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata India.
The Zona Centro STEM was an event where we had international speakers in the area of STEM education and entrepreneurship. The event was divided into two parts, in the morning the monthly meeting of student branch chairs and the SAC Team took place, this moment was directed by the SAC Team, where a presentation was made between the chairs of different branches, the status of each attending student Branch was discussed and they received advice from the SAC Team. In the afternoon, the first conference was on STEM education in Uruguay, followed by a presentation on STEM education in Colombia, where the contrasts of both could be seen. Finally, an entrepreneurship conference was held in the STEM areas abroad and the ways in which anyone can request financing from private companies for their entrepreneurship.
IdEEEas is a national-level technical symposium conducted every year by IEEE SIT SB. This year 12 subevents were conducted as part of it, which aimed at covering almost all technical as well as personality aspects of students. Our participants included students from all over the country. Our institute, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, popularly known as SIT, Tumakuru, holds a national-level reputation for being one of the oldest and most reputed institutes providing quality education. The event aimed to showcase their technical, communication, and personal skills and challenge themselves to be their better versions with healthy and tough competition. A seminar was also conducted as a part of the event to make it an outstanding symposium for future excellence. IdEEEas 2k23 had a whopping registration count of 2300+ registration and 2006 participants
On The first day of Excelsior followed by the inauguration ceremony, we had a technical talk session by Mr. Mirzad Makhdoom, Founder and CEO of Tribe Academy, Entrepreneur. He talked about "into the web3verse". The 1-hour long technical talk by the guest was fruitful for delegates to get a better idea about web3verse. As part of Excelsior’23, three workshops were conducted simultaneously by the CS, IAS, and ComSoc Chapters of SB. Workshops were in different fields and the candidates could choose their preferred workshop as they wanted.
The CS society organized a workshop on React, led by Rajath KS, a seasoned developer and co-founder of Epoq Zero LLP. Participants got the opportunity to learn modern web development using one of the most popular front-end frameworks in the industry. The IAS Society, on the other hand, conducted an engaging workshop on the Basics of Arduino and Bluetooth Integration, skillfully guided by Niyas Salim. A CAD workshop was also included.
Women in Engineering Summit event held on 7th July 2023, started at 10 am and concluded at 4 pm. Attendees were treated to a series of engaging sessions on technical paper writing, career development, leadership, mentoring, and networking. The technical paper writing session provided attendees with valuable insights and practical strategies to enhance their skills in communicating complex engineering concepts effectively. Participants learned about the importance of clarity, structure, and concise writing, equipping them with the tools to produce impactful technical papers. The event empowered women engineers through career development, leadership training, and networking, fostering diverse career insights, valuable skills, growth opportunities, effective strategies, and mentorship guidance for positive change.

On this Speaking we learned how to structure a CV, wich contents we can include and how to expand it along the pre-grade studies to have a competent CV to apply for jobs or professional internships.
"Electrical Engineering - A Promising Career" was chaired by Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib who is currently serving as Chair Student Activities Committee (SAC) IEEE Islamabad section. Dr. Shoaib welcomed the participants and officially started the event. The participants include undergraduate students from different universities of Islamabad, Pakistan including NUST, IIUI, HITEC, UET and CASE. A total of 54 students have participated. Two speakers from local industry were invited.
IEEE UI-SB SPAC 2023 is organized to give the students of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a chance to listen to experienced engineers from diverse backgrounds discuss the skills and technologies we need to keep us relevant. It involves in-person talks and a panel session.
Kiambu County outreach activity was meant to introduce young learners to STEM activities. The sessions covered a range of topics, including the different types of jobs available in STEM fields, the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in these careers, and the exciting research and development work being done in various fields. Participants also learnt about the many benefits of pursuing a career in STEM, including high earning potential, job security, and opportunities for innovation and discovery.
Tatacoa Camp - Zona Centro USCO was a wonderful event in the Tatacoa Desert, in the municipality of Villavieja in the department of Huila, a unique place in Colombia to observe the firmament and the constellations.
The Youth and Scientific Leadership Camp 2023 - Tatacoa Camp - Zona Centro USCO had several fundamental axes of activities among them, Training, knowledge exchange (Networking) and promotion of soft skills (Youth Leadership) in the Tatacoa Camp 2023 participated plus 10 student branches from all over Colombia, with 140 participants and at night an unforgettable evening under the stars and spatial narratives of the desert.
Zona SSO IEEE Javeriana Cali included training spaces through technical conferences and also integration spaces through recreational activities. In the morning there was a workshop on soft skills, a conference focused on Robotics and another talk on Electronic Security for attendees who did not belong to the boards of directors of the branches. On the other hand, for the board members, there was training on IEEE benefits and processes given by members of the SAC Team. In the afternoon a last conference on Deep learning was dictated by an engineer from CIAT (International Center for Tropical Agriculture) and to end the event was closed with a scavenger hunt in teams to encourage integration between branches and teamwork.
Hack the goals is a 24 hours hackathon that brings together passionate individuals with diverse skills and expertise to develop innovative solutions that address the United Nations' SDGs. The hackathon provides a platform to develop solutions to different issues that persists on our community and make the world sustainable. The event focuses on basically 6 SDGs. Sustainable development is one of the most important issues of the century and solving the problems sustainably has a great importance.
International Day of The African Child took place on June 16th 2023 at Mutomo Primary School. A team of 17 members from IEEE Kenyatta University joined 5 mentors from Mama Ngina University College (MNUC). The students, both primary and high school students, were divided into teams based on their level of advancement. The mentors, in groups of 4, provided guidance on digital transformation and topics such as rights in the digital space, cyberbullying, cybersecurity, networking, and the role of technology in education. The event concluded with speeches from the hosts and guests, marking the celebration of the African Child.
Engineer's Day celebration seeks to highlight the positive impact of engineers on the development and progress of society, as well as promote interest in engineering and motivate more people to pursue this career. This was an occasion to celebrate, recognize and promote the importance of engineering in our daily lives.

IEEE Grand Tech Lebanon 2023 is an annual event which targets a wide audience from students to professors and professionals, in an interactive open discussion environment. It focuses on cutting edge technology related to the computer engineering profession, and targets IEEE members who aim to elevate their careers to new level.

The IEEE Student Professional Awareness Activities (SPAA) 2023 focused on the theme "Humanitarian and Grand Challenges: Addressing global issues through Technology." The event featured speakers from academia and experienced professionals in the field of humanitarian technology. Students had the opportunity to network with experts and learn about the latest advancements in technology for addressing global issues. The event also included recruitment talks for IEEE student members and inspiring talks from the IEEE Student Women in Engineering (WIE) program. Overall, the event aimed to raise awareness and promote the use of technology to tackle humanitarian challenges on a global scale.
On the Occasion of PES Day, the IEEE IAS-PES Student Branch Chapter Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala, in collaboration with Pratigya Society TIET, IEEE PELS-IES, PES-IAS Chapter Delhi Section, India, IEEE Students (SPAx) organized an event on 29th April 2023 at TIET, Patiala, India. The name of the event was “Awareness of Renewable Energy Sources for School Kids”. The event was held at TIET and was attended by more than 50 students (Classes 1 to 4) from nearby schools. The event began with a presentation by Dr. Rajesh M Pindoriya, on renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and biomass.

IEEE Student Professional Awareness Conference (IEEE SPAC 2023) is 2-day event was conducted by IEEE UCET student Branch. The session “IEEE SPAC” commenced at 11:00 AM and was two hour and 30 minutes long on each day. This conference consists of total four sessions in 2 days.
This edition of "Meet The Scientist" was a virtual talk show because of several reasons. As the student branch is newly established, not many students within the campus are aware of the kinds of events our community aims to bring. With that in mind, we conducted a program virtually, and invited very specific students groups whose field of interest would match the topic of discussion. In overall, around 70 students joined the virtual meet.
IEEE SB NCU organized its flagship event Synergy 2.0 on 21st April 2023, in the university auditorium. Through this, our future engineers connected with industry leaders and participated in insightful panel discussions, interactive sessions.
Circuit Design and Analysis Workshop Series covered the building and programming of a remote-controlled rover. The project used affordable and powerful ESP32 in Arduino IDE, driving DC motors, powering a project from batteries, using libraries, reading analog inputs, etc. Student gained hands-on experience with topics that get covered in theory, but classes can't spend the time on to apply. Experience with programming and electronics will help students get off the ground faster, but the workshop offered a no-pressure learning environment, so the attendees had a mutual interest in using Arduino or Arduino-compatible boards.

IEEE Muroran IT SPAx Event was held as a hybrid to bridge between industry and academic and also facilitated ideas exchanges between students and engineers. The event consisted of three different sessions. First, two experienced industry professionals and second, three students from Muroran SB presented their research topics and third, three academics introduced their research works.

In a Black Box competition, participants receive a mystery circuit from the competition organizers. They are given some time (in this case a maximum of three hours) to apply external voltages to and monitor circuit behavior from its exposed terminals.
This activity will help the children to grasp the concept of balancing individually and in groups. They will be engaged with the provided materials to explore different ways to balance them. We will be teaching the children to look at the minute as well as the large scale.
